Dale A. Kunkel, DDS
Dentist
Dr. Dale Kunkel is originally from Corpus Christi, TX. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas and has been serving patients in Missouri for over 35 years.
Providing exceptional and comprehensive dental care to his patients has always been Dr. Kunkel's primary focus, and he hand-selects his staff members to ensure that they have the same passion and dedication for serving patients that he does.
Dr. Kunkel is a family man, and when he's not taking care of patients, he also enjoys swimming, hunting, fishing, and cattle ranching.
Dr. Timothy Salar, DMD
Associate Dentist
Dr. Timothy Salar is from Portland, Oregon. Dr. Salar was born in the United States to Romanian immigrant parents. He grew up in the outer Portland country side in a mild farm type upbringing. He is and always has been involved in the Romanian Evangelical church community and its activities. He attended Portland State University for his undergraduate education and graduated in 2017 with a Bachelors of Science degree. He went on to Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine in Davie, Florida and graduated with his Doctor of Dental Medicine in May of 2022. He has been practicing for Four States Dental Care since July of 2022.
Dr. Salar has three brothers and one sister. He comes from a family of dentists. His older brother is also a general dentist and his uncle is a pediatric dentist.
When he is outside of the office, you can find Dr. Salar doing anything outdoors. His favorite activities are hunting, fishing, camping, shooting, archery, off roading, golf and tennis. He also loves to go sky diving!
Dr. Michael Patterson, DDS
Associate Dentist
Dr. Patterson is a Southwest Missouri native. Born and raised in Joplin, he graduated from Joplin High School in 1993 and Drury University in 1997. After college he attended Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago, IL graduating with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2001. He completed Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency while on active duty in his first year in the US Navy as a Dental Officer in 2002. He served on active duty in Illinois, Connecticut and in London, UK. He separated from active duty in 2005 and has been a full time private practice general dentistry for the last 19 years in Missouri.
He continues to serve in the Naval Reserves holding rank of Naval Captain. He was recalled back to Active Duty and deployed in 2018-2019 to Djibouti, East Africa in direct support of counterterrorism and anti-piracy operations. He is currently assigned to the 4th Dental Battalion, Marine Forces Reserve where he drills in San Diego, CA once a month.
Dr. Patterson met his wife, Oni, while at Joplin High School. Together they share four beautiful daughters, Elizabeth, Emma, Katherine and Audrey. For fun, when not practicing dentistry, he enjoys traveling the globe with his wife and family, time spent in the Navy and Marine Corps, movies, musical concerts and nights spent star gazing with his telescope!
Emiley
Human Resource Director/Practice Manager
Emiley is originally from Neosho, MO. She graduated from Missouri Southern State University in May of 2019 and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resource Management and Management, and a Bachelor of Science with an emphasis in Health-Science Business. She graduated from Stayer University with a Masters of Business Administration in September of 2023.
She enjoys working with the teams at Four States Dental Care. Her favorite part of her job is seeing team members grow and thrive in the dental world and give patients the best experience possible.
In her spare time, Emiley enjoys spending time with her family, reading and going on walks. She has two daughters that keep her very busy when she is not at the office.
Christy
Office Manager
Christy grew up and graduated high school from Hurley, MO. After graduation, she attended and graduated from Omar Gibson Vocational Technical School for Nursing. That career path led her into dentistry where she worked as a chair side assistant. Christy quickly found that dentistry was her passion. She attended OTC and received her CDA and expanded functions. In 2015, she received her Bachelors in Psychology from Perdue University specializing in ABA and Management. Christy has been in the dentistry for over 13 years. With her experience and versatility she has worked in all aspects of the dental office including: scheduling, insurance and billing as well as office management. Her favorite thing about her job is educating patients that oral health is vital for overall physical health.
Christy and her husband Jeff live in Exeter, MO. She is a stage 4 lung cancer survivor and uses her experiences to educate others about the disease. Christy loves spending time with her husband doing home projects, traveling, riding side by sides and listening to bands. Their children and grandchildren are her favorite subject and pastime.
Shannon
Bookkeeper
Shannon was born and raised in Neosho and has resided here most of her life. She has 30 years of experience in accounting, and she joined FSDC in April of 2021. She enjoys working with all three offices and helping to manage the business side of operations.
Shannon has been married for 21 years to her husband, Eric. Together they have four children, one grandson, two spoiled huskies and one boxer. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends at the lake, hiking, biking or at her kids sporting events.
Marisol
Scheduling Specialist Supervisor
Marisol is originally from Topeka, KS and has been with Four States Dental Care since 2013. Marisol enjoys serving the community and loves seeing the confidence that a beautiful and healthy smile can give a patient. She is here to help you reach your dental treatment goals!
Serving others is what Marisol does in her spare time. She enjoys translating for the Hispanic community whenever she can, and she volunteers at Hope Kitchen every chance she gets. Marisol also loves reading, dancing, cooking, attending church, and spending time with family. She especially treasures her time with her nieces and nephews making crafts or playing games because she loves children!
Nancy
Patient Care Coordinator
Nancy is originally from Chicago, IL, but she currently resides in Exeter, MO where she graduated high school from in 2015. She has one beautiful daughter, Yarehl. Nancy says, "I am excited to start this new chapter in the dental field as the hygiene coordinator for Four States Dental Care. I look forward to the future experiences and opportunities I can gain from this office and this position."
In Nancy's spare time, she enjoys going to the gym and finding exciting things to do with her daughter.

Scheduling Coordinator
Holly is from Monett, MO. After graduating from Monett High School, she attended Missouri State University. She joined FSDC in 2024. "I enjoy getting to see a lot of familiar and new faces and help them schedule their treatment with our wonderful doctors."
When she is not at the office, she is spending time with her two daughters, Paisley and Maddyn. She is also a sports fanatic! She loves to spend time watching or attending games and she even collects sports cards for fun!

Janet lives in Neosho and received her dental assistant training from Franklin Technology Center. Her favorite part of her job is helping patients feel good about their treatment and confident about their smiles.
Janet can be found spending quality time with her family when she's not taking care of patients.
Jenna
Registered Dental Hygienist
Jenna lives in Exeter, MO, and received her training for dental hygiene from Ozarks Technical College. Jenna enjoys working with people and love building relationships with her patients. She also appreciates the impact she has on helping her patients achieve a healthy and beautiful smile.
When she's not creating brighter smiles, you'll find Jenna at the lake with her husband, friends, and chocolate lab, Harley. She also plays all sports and has recently taken up golf.
Karina
Hygiene Assistant
Karina was born in Mexico, but she was raised in Monett, MO. She graduated from Midwest Technical Institute in 2018 as a Registered Dental Assistant. She has since then been in the dental field. Her favorite thing about dental is seeing her patient's smile transform into something that they are proud of.
In Karina's spare time, she enjoys time with her family and going shopping!
Kayli
Insurance Coordinator
Kayli is originally from Riverton, KS, but she currently resides in Grove, OK with her husband Joshua and their 6 beautiful children. Kayli joined Four States Dental Care in 2022 and has enjoyed several different positions in the company. She is versatile and very helpful in all areas of the office! She loves dentistry because she genuinely loves taking care of people.
When she is not at work she is spending time with her family. She attends church at COS in Grove, and she loves to coach her kids in various activities.
Sara
Director of Clinical Operations
Sara is originally from Joplin, MO, and she’s been with Four States Dental Care since 2005 when she started as a financial coordinator. She received her dental hygiene training from Ozark Technical Community College.
Sara loves getting to know her patients on a personal basis, which allows her to help them achieve their health goals.
In her spare time, Sara can be found spending time with her husband and children. However, she does love crafting with friends!
Jessica
Hygienist
Jessica began her dental career in 2000 as a dental assistant. Her passion for helping patients led her back to school, where she earned her Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from Collin College in McKinney, TX in 2006.
With nearly 2 decades of experience, Jessica is dedicated to educating patients and providing the highest level of care to help them maintain lifelong oral health. Beyond the office, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, snow skiing, traveling and serving in the missions field. She has been honored to provide dental education and share her faith in Guatemala, Romania, Costa Rica, and Bangladesh.
Her faith is a huge part of her life, and she strives to bring compassion and joy into every patient interaction.
Nicole
Registered Dental Hygienist
Nicole is from Mount Vernon, MO where she resides with her husband and their three young children. She graduated with honors from State Fair Community College.
Her and her family attend First United Methodist Church. In Nicole's free time, she enjoys gardening, food preservation, bee keeping, hunting, fishing and camping with the family.
Cheri
Hygiene Assistant / EFDA
Cheri lives in Monett, MO, and received her training from Everest College. She joined our team in 2017 as a dental assistant and transitioned to a hygiene assistant in 2021. She enjoys the connections she makes each day with her patients and coworkers. Cheri is very versatile in the office because she also has all her expanded functions for dental assisting!
Cheri loves spending time with her family when she's not taking care of patients at the dental office.
Heather, RDH
Hygienist
Heather is a Registered Dental Hygienist. She attended North Central Technical College, Fort Scott Community College and Pitt State University. She has completed advanced laser training and received certification from the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry in New York City, NY. Essentials of Monitoring Sedation Certification from DOCS Education of Anesthesia and Pain Management. As well as, The Academy of Laser Dentistry in Houston, TX. Heather has a passion for continuing education and has been in the dental field since 2004.
Heather is best known for her positive, upbeat, bubbly personality. She is originally from Kansas City and now lives in Joplin, MO with her daughter Skylee and Fiance Steve. Heather enjoys quality time with her family and friends, participating in activities such as traveling, downhill mountain biking, snow skiing, fishing, UTV riding, photography, videography, west coast swing, and exploring a diverse range of sports, She loves being outdoors and one of her goals is to visit as many National Parks as possible with her daughter.
AnaBel
Dental Assistant - EFDA
AnaBel has been taking care of patients at Four States Dental Care for over six years, and she loves everything about her job! However, she specifically enjoys assisting the dentists with restorative procedures.
Spending time with her kids and her family at the pool or having cookouts is AnaBel's favorite thing to do in her spare time. She also loves hanging out in pajamas all day and watching movies with her kids!
Rayanna
Dental Assistant - EFDA
Rayanna lives in Exeter, MO, and she received her training at Vatterott College in Springfield, MO. She enjoys working side by side with the dentists to help patients achieve the smiles they have always wanted.
If she's not taking care of patients, Rayanna enjoys hanging out with her family and friends.
Evelyn
Dental Assistant
Evelyn is from Verona, MO. She graduated from Midwest Technical Institute with her Dental Assisting Certificate in March of 2021. She started with Four States Dental Care in the fall of 2021. Evelyn says, "My favorite thing about working in the dental field is watching patients leave satisfied with their new smile and making them feel good about themselves." When she is not in the dental office, Evelyn enjoys spending time with her family.
Maria

Maria and her family reside in Monett, MO. She attended Everest College as well as Ozark Technical College where she earned her certificate in dental assisting with all of her expanded functions. She has worked as a dental assistant for over 12 years. She is very knowledgeable and experienced in her field as well as bilingual.
She has four sons and enjoys spending her spare time with her family doing fun things outdoors.
Chelce

Chelce moved to MO in 2021. She graduated from Grapevine Dental Assistant school in 2019. After graduation she worked in pediatric dentistry because she loves kids. She started her journey with Four States Dental Care at the end of 2021 and is excited to learn more about general dentistry.
In Chelce’s free time she loves to spend time with her son and go hunting and fishing with her husband.
Bailey
Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
Bailey attended Ozark Technical College and graduated with honors in Phi Theta Kappa in 2021 as a Certified Dental Assistant with expanded functions. Her favorite thing about being in the dental field is seeing smiles transform and patients gaining their confidence back after treatment is completed.
When Bailey is not working you can find her spending time with her family outdoors, in the pool, or enjoying quality time at home.

The entire staff from reception to checkout are phenomenal. After seeing a small town dentist for years who did not take care of or address any issues my teeth weren’t in the best shape. Dr. Orr and his assistants/hygienists are all amazing and have given me my smile back. I have horrible dental anxiety and the entire staff always does their best to put my concerns at ease.
