Dr. Michael Patterson, DDS

Associate Dentist

Dr. Patterson is a Southwest Missouri native. Born and raised in Joplin, he graduated from Joplin High School in 1993 and Drury University in 1997. After college he attended Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago, IL graduating with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2001. He completed Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency while on active duty in his first year in the US Navy as a Dental Officer in 2002. He served on active duty in Illinois, Connecticut and in London, UK. He separated from active duty in 2005 and has been a full time private practice general dentistry for the last 19 years in Missouri.

He continues to serve in the Naval Reserves holding rank of Naval Captain. He was recalled back to Active Duty and deployed in 2018-2019 to Djibouti, East Africa in direct support of counterterrorism and anti-piracy operations. He is currently assigned to the 4th Dental Battalion, Marine Forces Reserve where he drills in San Diego, CA once a month.

Dr. Patterson met his wife, Oni, while at Joplin High School. Together they share four beautiful daughters, Elizabeth, Emma, Katherine and Audrey. For fun, when not practicing dentistry, he enjoys traveling the globe with his wife and family, time spent in the Navy and Marine Corps, movies, musical concerts and nights spent star gazing with his telescope!
