Dr. Rodger Simmons, DDS
Dr Simmons is originally from Grandview, MO, just outside of Kansas City. He graduated in 1981 from Drake University with a Bachelor’s degree, and while he was very studious, he dabbled a bit in sports, playing football for four years and basketball for one. In 1986, he graduated from the UMKC dental school with his DDS. He spent most of his early career in Sedalia, MO, purchasing his first practice in 1987 and selling it in 2013.
Dr Simmons loves to meet people with dental anxiety, and he will ask you questions while he is working on your teeth, but don’t worry—there is no real expectation to answer…honestly. Besides having a passion for dentistry—and orthodontics, specifically—Dr Simmons loves to woodwork and follow the seasonal ups and downs of the Kansas City Chiefs and the Kansas Jayhawks (basketball only). He has a wonderful wife, Julie, to whom he has been married for 42 years, with six children (three boys and three girls). His house is always filled with his 11 grandkids—with more on the way!
